L-deprenyl (selegiline) is an MAO-i and used as an adjunct to enhance stimulants or in its own right as a nootropic.
Here are some excerpts from the literature I could happily repost to the subreddit. It shows enhancement of working and spatial memory, particularly in older populations. There also seems to be an overall benefit to cognitive function in older individuals.

~~The article you posted is for D-Deprenyl, though. R is dextrorotory and S is levorotory. R-(-)-deprenyl is just methamphetamine with a propargyl group. The two enantiomers act a LOT differently.~~
