Powdercity Quality Control Issues
Original post in this thread

Powdercity looks great, lots of compounds on a single site. Owners are also active and helpful on this subreddit. I am about to put a big order myself however I can't help but see many posts complaining about quality of the products.
Piracetam: http://www.reddit.com/r/Nootropics/comments/2rhefi/powder_city_piracetam_tastes_sweet/
Oxiracetam: http://www.reddit.com/r/Nootropics/comments/2qutie/powdercities_oxiracetam_batch_141211_lot_tw1211/
These posts are not a scientific approach to support my argument but still....
This supplier has been trusted for a long time but is it reliable nowadays, care to share your experiences (pls name compound as well)?

There is something up with the Oxiracetam. However, both HPLC and FTIR do not pick up the issue. So it's not like they did not test it. The tests just did not pick up whatever is causing the burning/taste. How they are handling it is the responsible thing to do. Perhaps they should institute a taste test of all incoming batches, on top of the 3rd party testing. I know we do, for all powders that it can be done reasonably for. Ain't nobody taste testing memantine powder, unless they want to be useless for a while. But most can be checked for taste/melting point before going off to the lab.
I am glad they are being proactive, by emailing customers about it. So far they are doing things as they should. I do not blame them for not catching something, when the 3rd party purity testing said it was pure.
