Hey Nootropics Community,
First of all - thank you for providing a wealth of knowledge and experience with nootropics.
What I can provide - free testing for your supplements in the US. I have a GC/MS and FTIR at my disposal to do purity testing for a range of organic and inorganic supplements. I can tell you whats in your supplement.
What I cannot provide - I won't test illegal drugs. I will not provide chain of custody for samples as I am not operating as part of a licensed analytical lab for QA/QC analysis. No commercial analysis available, if you are a supplier please use your own lab.
What can you expect - I will give you a report with the chemical makeup of the sample you send.
What do you need to do? Send me a PM. You need to include the name of the supplement and the manufacturer. You also need to pay for shipping.

Colmeric's
Really wish that Colmaric would reveal some more data about what they feel constitutes an assay. As far as I can see Collin is just running the HPLC and then estimating the purity manually. He then reports his estimate as a firm %. While one could technically call that an assay, it isn't in line with industry standard practices. There are way too many factors that go into HPLC analysis for me to be confident in their results. What M/Z range is he using? What machine is he using? When was it last calibrated? Does he flush the system in between samples? Does he feel comfortable knowing that HPLC doesn't always provide a full picture of the purity of a sample? He is incredibly reluctant to provide the raw data or to go into any sort of technical detail.
We have looked at multiple samples that have a beautiful HPLC but a horrible HNMR. In edge cases our testing costs can run to $1000 - $1500 at Emeryville Pharmaceutical. Sometimes the experience of a PHD chemist and a million dollars of equipment is the minimum required for us to have the confidence to release a product. If we were using Colmaric for our analysis we would have sold some very questionable materials to our clients.
I called Collin today and left a message asking if I could actually come into his lab and watch him perform an analysis. We have some tricky samples from the past that I'd love to…

Yeah, the only way to know for sure is to do it in-house. There are other labs out there, but the prices are pretty high. In the long run, it makes sense to bring things in-house. We are going to be getting a P-NMR this year. We might also be getting a mass spec. I am speaking with a few chemists right now to determine the best type of each to get.
Colin's reluctance to give deeper information is a bit worrying, though. I figured I would press him for some spectrums from things, but he has ignored those emails so far. Seems a bit strange.
