Best form of extended release methylphenidate (Ritalin)?

According to Stahl's Essential Psychopharmacology, slow dose stimulants preferentially block NET in the PFC, enhancing tonic DA and NE signalling via postsynaptic receptors but not DAT in the nucleus accumbens which increases phasic signalling and feelings of euphoria allowing for enhanced ADD therapeutic use and reduced abuse potential. There are quite a few different forms of extended release methylphenidate, which ones are best/smoothest/most predictable? I'm mostly looking for around 6-8 hour duration but would be okay with a bit longer.
(Also wouldn't mind hearing anyone's experience with Strattera instead of traditional stimulants.)

Have you read this thread?
I might consider low dose (like 15/20mg instead of 75/100 mg) 2-FMA + semax or something, but that post I listed really worries me.
What do you think of that thread /u/misteryouaresodumb ? Should people be worried about cardio-toxic phenethylamines building up when taking 2-FMA?

If you are taking large amounts daily, perhaps. If you keep your dosages reasonable, and not use it all the time, it should be fine. But always stack stimulants with things that will protect you. I use L-arginine/citruline, Taurine, CoQ10, EGCG, PQQ, etc.
