/r/Noopept quality from different suppliers

I have bought aroung 10g of Noopept from Peaknootropics, and I got 1g of Noopept from Powdercity. I have noticed that the taste and the smell of the one from Peaknootropics it is a bit stronger and worst than the one of PowderCity. Does somebody know something if this is related with purity?

To expand: the taste and smell differences are more likely to come from solvents or other (hopefully) harmless byproducts, than simply proportions of the compound present. Just because a sample has contaminants that taste or smell stronger than another sample doesn't mean that it is more contaminated, only that you are able to taste and smell the particular contaminant more.
So, if a sample is 0.1% motor oil you will probably taste and smell it but if it's the only contaminant, it is still 99.9% pure. If a sample is 10% ...idk, corn starch, you probably won't taste or smell it but your sample is 90% pure.
...but to clarify a flaw in that analogy, just because you taste/smell it more does not mean it is more harmful.
Not only this but the way your sample is in its container will change the amount of airborne sample which is available for you to smell. i.e. if you shook the container and the container has a lot of free space, more airborne particles will leave the chamber when you open it and inhale with your nose.
And probably a million other factors I didn't think of.
tl;dr taste and smell are not related to purity :P
A comparison of vendor purities from an actual lab might be interesting though.

We've had samples that were 99.9% pure, but tasted like shit. Then we had samples that were the same compound, 99.7% pure, but did not taste like anything. I still have not figured out what the deal is with the different types of Adrafinil. There are 3 completely different types of Adrafinil powder that you can get. They all test at the same purity. However, one is almost completely white, and only works for some. It also has almost no smell. The others are either fluffy pink or dark dense pink, and smell very strong. So far the dark dense pink one is the one people react best to. However, the purity is the same. I am still trying to figure out what the deal is...
