Why nootropics?

I've been seeing a huge popularity in all these new peptides, which left me wondering what people are looking for in nootropics and which ones provide that feeling.
I've been on a consistent regime of 800 mg oxiracetam 2x daily and 300 mg Alpha-GPC every other day for about 3 months now. While occasionally supplementing adrafinil or Dexedrine. I started testing nootropics partly for boosting my academic performance, but mostly out of desperation. Mid-junior year, I got placed on mood stabilizers that really impaired my creative thinking, problem solving, and social skills. My hunger and yearning for knowledge was quickly replaced by apathy and mental/emotional fatigue. After about a year of frustration and low self-esteem, I found nootropics. They rekindled my passion for chemistry and CS. Also, my speech fluidity is phenomenal, relative to how it was prior. Yes, the cognitive enhancement is unprecedented and the feeling of intelligence is great, but the main reason I use nootropics now is because I love the passion and inspiration that I find while using them.
