What is Trkb down regulation and it's consequences?

I read that this has been associated with Noopept but I can't make any sense of it. I'm not a scientist.

One strategy to possibly mitigate this would be forskolin use, which I believe /u/MisterYouAreSoDumb has suggested in the past. It's been reported to upregulate Trkb in mesenchymal stem cells.

However, the nuts and bolts of optimizing dosages to balance up and downregulation have yet to be worked out, as far as I am aware.

Yeah, I have use forskolin to try and up-regulate Trkb. However, I am not convinced that Semax or Noopept actually down-regulate it that much. We still need more data to know for sure.
