My experience with Phosphatidylserine...

I've been taking the soy version of this supplement at a 600mg dose every day for about a month. It is definitely doing something, but I can't really tap my finger on it. Since I've taken it feels like I've become dumber. The reason I I'm still using this is for its anxiolytic effects, which have become pretty apparent. In the first week of supplementation, the anxiolytic aspects of the chemical gave me a small but significant increase in focus and motivation without any slowing down of my thoughts. But recently I've begun to have that slow loopy feeling you get from a recreational dose of valium(I have only done benzos on several occasions). I'm relaxed and content, but there is a lot less going on upstairs than there used to be. I know that Phosphatidyslerine is a cortisol blocker, so maybe my cortisol has gotten really low? I'm guessing that can lead to excessive calmness.
Maybe I'm just not used to living without overthinking everything. I used to be very anxious. At any rate, I would really appreciate your opinions as to whether this is a legitimate concern.
edit: thanks for all the responses. I think the dosages I've been taking have been so high that my cortisol has gott…

I understood the benefits of phosphatidylserine were from the bovine brain derived stuff only.

Most of the evidence for the beneficial effects were using the bovine sources. However, that does not mean the soy based stuff does not have benefits as well.
