Crowdfunded mass spectrometry for our supplements?

I've been thinking about having a independent crowd funded lab (maybe even home lab?) analyze samples of nootropics from different vendors.
If there's someone in our community that has access to a mass spectrometer with the know-how to test compounds on the market, why not start a donation pool?

Anonymity could be provided by having members of the community order small amounts and send them to you guys for testing. Designating a small pool of specific people to do that could lead to pattern recognition. In terms of the trustworthy factor, I know I have a strike against me in terms of reddit account age, but have you guys considered drafting members of the <Longecity:"Brain Health"> community for this?
I would love to offer help in terms of webdesign/programming and/or chemistry/pharmacology stuff, but it would have to be later on in the process (time is currently an extremely limiting factor, but this community has helped me keep up on unpublished case reports quite a bit, and you guys in particular have been extremely helpful in sourcing products that are otherwise unavailable)

The issue is that we need people that can be trusted. I came up with the program, and took the role of organizing and send the samples. And a couple other mods have helped out with ordering and sending the samples, to keep objectivity. However, if we start using members from the community, we are going to need a way to make sure we are not being misled, and the samples tampered with. Unfortunately, there is really no way to do that without either my time, or other moderator time. Usually the people who are known to be trustworthy in the community are already busy with other things. I am just going to have to set aside some time to get another person on board.
