NSI-189 triggering partial seizures. Possible glutamatergic mechanism?

There is very little data on the compound, and I knew I was asking for trouble buying it in the first place, so I can't say I didn't expect this.
Diagnosed with epilepsy 02/14(originated in late '07, TBI), and I've been controlling it with supplements with the exception of coluracetam and 7,8-DHF, which do very well on their own controlling partial seizures and anxiety. Noopept is the only other drug I've tried that triggers them, and its obvious as to why. With this, though, I'm completely lost.
Before this, I went 54 days without any problems, and that is 3-4x my normal span in between incidents without supplements. Before that, I got too careless with my meds because I was severely depressed, and screwed up a 51 day seizure free streak. About 3 hours after taking a dose ranging from 5-30mg orally or sublingually, I start getting auras and a few minutes later I get hit with a simple partial. They are no different than usual, except that absolutely nothing can control them. My entire AED stack, along with colu and DHF, does absolutely nothing to halt any seizure activity. Just for comparison, I can take noopept with my AED stack with no problems. This has happened 3 times, ea…

NSI-189 has been proving to have extremely variable effects in people. I get hyperemotional on it. Jason started losing feeling in parts of his body. Some people do not feel anything. Then other get amazing effects. It's all over the place.
Unfortunately, seizures are extremely complicated. There is not enough information to say whether or not this is glutamate related. I know noopept triggered them, and you are assuming it was due to the AMPA effects. However, it could just as well be something completely different. So trying to equate the mechanisms between your noopept events, and your NSI-189 events, is a little hard. There might very well be an unknown AMPA/NMDA modulation going on. However, it is just speculation without more data.
I will say that you should stop taking it. I know the prospects of improving your mood and memory are tempting. But we just do not know enough about NSI-189 to say it is safe; especially in epileptics. We really need more data on the mechanisms that NSI-189 has.
