Why don't the nootropics store owners join forces?

I'm sure there's a great reason, but I'll ask anyway. Wouldn't it be a win-win-win if all of the nootropics store owners (on reddit) banded together for group purchases in synthesizing chemicals and drove down the prices for the internal community?

You are talking about creating an oligopoly using collusion. That never ends well for the consumers. Without competition, where is the incentive to keep prices low?
