Sunifiram brain damage?

Original post in this thread

Hello,

I ordered some sunifiram from NSN a while ago, I was excited about some reviews saying it really has effects unlike piracetam which for me has no effect.

I started with a 1mg dose and used the Shulgin protocol.

2, 4, 8, until I reached the dose of 512mg which apparently destroyed my brain.

First I had a feeling of wellbeing with the low dosage.

Starting from 64mg I had bouts of anxiety and I could only sleep for 3 hours a day, at 256mg all the world seemed so slow time was extremely slow, 1 min was lasting 10 real mins but in reality my brain was very speedy and my movements were extremely fast to the other people.

My eyes were dilated and my body temp was very high.

This was supposed to make me stop dosing, but I wanted to push it to the limit because i actually liked this effect.

At 512mg my heart was pounding and beating at 130 while resting!

My brain was running too fast, I had extreme anxiety, and then came the worst, I had a pins and needles sensation, I felt like my body was under deadly vasoconstriction, I started seeing purple spots in my vision field, so I shouted and my friend called an ambulance to get me to the ER.

I didn't want to pass a drug junkie…

I don't know about piracetam and I don't think any of these (or any substance) can be trusted protect you meaningfully from severe acute excitotoxic events, but the other two compounds you mentioned seem low risk and if I remember correctly, are among the short list of promising supplements to take post-stroke.

Name dropping these as something to look into certainly isn't the same, IMO, as mentioning something theoretically promising but with notable potential risks like selegiline.

I did not mention anything. Sure CoQ10 and idebenone are safe, but there is no evidence that they protect from the damage that sunifiram can cause. Stating that as a fact is dangerous, since it makes people think we fully understand sunifiram's risks.
