Just hit me today, that I am now an adult. Now reflecting on changes on myself since a child, and missing the dreams I once had mainly about the power of love. What does everybody else reckon is the most shitty thing about becoming an adult?
What they were answering

I'm sorry dude, but it is relevant. You haven't yet hit the point people are talking about. I'm 27, and my life is going incredibly well, but I still don't have the wide-eyed optimism I had at 21.

I'm 28. I had a fantastic childhood and am now having an even better adulthood. It's all in the choices you make. I have started two companies, traveled much of the world, and had a lot of amazing experiences. I feel liberated because I am. I can do whatever I want, whenever I want, and only have myself to answer to. This comes with its own set of challenges, and you do give up some things to have what I have. However, it is all a choice. It's my choice. If that is not liberating, then I don't know what is.
I wake up every morning knowing that I can accomplish as little or as much as I choose to. I know that my future can be as adventurous and scary, or calm and secure as I want. I also know that I don't have to stick with one of those choices forever. I can take some time off and be calm, or get on a plane and start traveling the world again. The what, when, how, and who with are all just ancillary decisions. The choice to be wide-eyed and optimistic all lies within yourself.
