Fairly disappointed with racetams.

Original post in this thread

I tried Piracetam about a year ago, and I really did think it had fairly significant positive effects. But I tried it again in the last few days (from nootropics depot, so probably legit) and all it's done is make me tired with barely noticeable positive effects.

I also got some Aniracetam from the same place and it has about the same effects.

Not much point to this post except to add to the data available from users.

Along with all the posts, on here and other forums, about people experiencing brain fog long term, I really don't think these racetams are worth using. Not for the barely better than placebo effect they have.

What are some more promising alternatives? I know about Memantine and also Modafinil, but both also seem to have very little study and/or severe side-effects, like Stevens-Johnson syndrome (nope nope nope).

I've also tried Alpha Brain, so probably Vinpocetine and Huperzine A are the most significant things in there, and it did have an effect, but I found it very, very hard to concentrate.

Someone claims their friend got it from modafinil. This was posted about 2 weeks ago.

Ohh wow, that was when I had my surgery. I missed reading that post. That's pretty scary!

Purity/Heavy Metals Testing Results

The results from our latest round of testing are in. We all had a pretty good idea that the Bacognize would fair well, as Nootropics Depot's tests showed. However, we now have 3rd party results confirming it. * Lead- .0

Yep, my fault guys. I'll just stop posting, and things will get better. It's all on me... You can all go back to caffeine/L-theanine, long winded modafinil, and "does piracetam work" posts. No need to advance the communi

Why should I spend additional money on suppliers that charge more than powdercity?

Have you actually even looked at the prices, or are you just assuming PC is lower? We are actually lower on certain things, and the exact same on others. In fact, we are half price on some things. Actually look at the pr

Tried a bunch of things... Then tried modafinil.. Ready to toss everything else out.

What are "all the others?" We've come such a long way now, and have a metric shitload of substances out there. We can't really group nootropics together anymore. Even the racetam family varies wildly in effects now.

Which nootropics have negative effects when taken with marijuana/alcohol?

Replying to Teejaflu · I hate drinking on modafinil. It makes me feel tired and stupid.

I 100% agree. In fact, I do not really like drinking on any of the racetams either. The more I take nootropics, the less I want to drink any alcohol.
