Modafinil and euphoria

I have read cases where individuals feel some euphoria from modafinil and was wondering if this was something that often happens? I took my first 200mg of modafinil today at roughly 9am. I did some work I had planned of doing and was "in the zone" so to speak. After about 2 hours I felt a bit of euphoria. My problem with this feeling is I find my emotions are exaggerated and with that I've discovered I am not myself. I love the focus aspect and cognitive benefits mod offers but I am hoping this euphoric feeling subsides after pro-longed use. Also I felt a bit of a come down that didn't last too long. Any input would be appreciated, sorry if I am beating the dead modafinil horse.
Update: I have taken it for the fourth time today and the euphoric feeling has subsided. Thank you to everyone who responded with insight and information.

Yeah. It seems like euphoria is one of those words that means something different to everyone. To me, and in line with the common understanding, I think, it is a kind of very rare peak experience of profound happiness/contentedness, and by that criterion I'm not sure if I have ever been euphoric, certainly not more than a few times in my life. When people talk about being "a little euphoric", that's more grating than "very unique." Euphoria, I should think, is by definition an extreme emotion. A little euphoria is just normal happiness.
However I can see what I classify as euphoria as being too distracting to get any real work done. If everyone was ecstatic all the time then little would get done, I'd think. So maybe OP is just concerned that s/he got a recreational and not a functional drug? Like, I could delude myself that having just a couple drinks would loosen me up and open new creative pathways and whatnot, but if that was my expectation going into my first experience with alcohol and it turns out it just feels good, well, I might be a little disappointed as well. Obviously an odd example since everyone knows about alcohol, but still.

Yeah, the definition is very subjective. Euphoria can take many forms. The euphoria from MDMA is different than the euphoria from opiates. Both can be considered euphoric, but in different ways. I've even seen people describe benzos as euphoric, which I would not really consider the same feeling. I suppose some people might find it hard to concentrate while in a state of euphoria. I guess it just depends on the situation.
