I find that people who have only done it a couple times don't like it. They never get their bodies accustomed to it, and the side effects take over. That, or they get shitty kratom with ground up stems in it. As time goes on, your body gets in sync with eating the plant material, and you have a much better time.

Unfortunately, toss and wash is the best method I have found so far, so the taste thing is the only shitty part. I have tried multiple extractions with water, alcohol, and a mixture of both. None of them turned out as good as toss and wash. The only one I have not tried is an acid/base extraction. But it's just not worth the hassle.

Also, some strains are better than others. If you don't take the time to find out which ones work best with you, and which vendors are good, then you might have a skewed view of it.
