Purchased some bulk bacopa extract with .86 ppm of lead... safe?

Original post in this thread

Just received COA of some bacopa extract I purchased. Here is a link to a study evaluating the acceptable levels of heavy metals in dietary supplements. depending on whose standard you go by .86ppm of lead is either above or below. erring on the side of caution i am probably going to return the product. opinions. should i keep it and ingest or no?

edit: i have been taking a different brand of bacopa for a few months. and purchased this in bulk to save money, i havent started taking it yet because i still have some left in the original bottle. i dont have a coa for the brand i am currently taking, thus it could be more or less than the bulk bacopa i purchased.

edit 2: received the COA for gotu kola and its 1.866ppm. ie more than double that of the bacopa.

What they were answering

it should really be standard practice for all these sellers to list it by default on the website. thats why i like nootropics depot. although one negative thing i would say about nootropics depot, is that the CoA is a bit deceiving. they dont list the specific amount of ppm in bacopa. they just say that it is less the 2ppm. so it could hypothetically be 1.8ppm. they set the bar too high with the test - because they guarantee its below 2ppm. but they dont give a specific amount.

so potentially purchasers who arent sophisticated to know whether 2ppm is high or low - see that it "conforms" they assume its good. without realizing that 2ppm is actually pretty high, and safety standards are below 2ppm.

Many testing methods cannot go below a 2ppm detection limit. That is why they list <2ppm. It could be 0, but they cannot test that low. It all depends on the method in which they tested the product.

The results from our latest round of testing are in. We all had a pretty good idea that the Bacognize would fair well, as Nootropics Depot's tests showed. However, we now have 3rd party results confirming it. * Lead- .0

Are you daft? I posted the 3rd party COA of the exact product you asked for (SR9009). You are deflecting yet again. We have plenty of 3rd party COAs going back years, along with doing a lot of in-house testing. I do not

Most places are shit. I do not trust Swanson. I've used Vitacost before, but I would not say I really trust them. Never heard of Sevenhills Wholefoods. A lot of smaller brands pop up, sell for a bit, then disappear. Seve

Yeah, that's SGS in India. This is one of the labs we were fighting with on their numbers. They kept getting over 50% and we kept getting 24%. They sent us huge packets with testing data, and their methods and documentat
