I respect your perspective on psyches. I believe you're correct in saying anything 'mystical' is our own minds manifestation and not soley the drugs alone. And where 'spiritual' or 'mystical' experiences are reported I feel there is a more tangible explanation. From my tripping experience I've come to realize we use these words simply because of a lack of better more defined words. For example: people in prehistoric times claiming the sun or whathaveyou were gods themselves because of their life giving properties like growing the food they ate. That being said, there's so little research out there for psyches that all you essentially have are anicdotal accounts.
Set and setting is what it is really all about and I can't condone psychedelic experimentation for everyone because not everyone is ready to experience something like that.
Also ill say shrooms and lsd definitely expanded my mind in ways that will affect me the rest of my life even though the 'glow' is gone. I can take apart quantum mechanic theories, mathematical theorems, and difficult literature a lot better than I could before my life altering experiences on these substances.
Dmt for me was the most intense and outright oddest feeling under the influence of any substance I've ever taken but not as profound and expanding as the latter two. After I came down completely I felt no change in my headspace except for a…
