Huperzine A

My knowledge is slightly limited when it comes to organic chemistry, and I apologize. I am interested in taking a choline supplement, and have been wondering about mechanics Huperzine A, which prevents the breakdown of acetylcholine. How neurotoxic would something like this be if taken on a regular basis? It seems like keeping synoptical channels filled with neurotransmitters would be hazardous to health if done long term.

I know this may not be your area of expertise but by chance would you consider taking a mild NMDA antagonist on a daily/weekly basis dangerous? I read in r/drugs at some point that ketamine is considered to be one of the few drugs a person could take on a regular basis without terrible neurotoxicity. I do not wish to do ketamine, but I found that cats claw is very helpful for my anxiety, although I believe it too has a rather long half-life.

Uncaria tomentosa (Cats Claw) does not possess any NMDA antagonism from what I know.

If you are looking for long-term NMDA antagonists, memantine is the best. It binds to an open channel binding site. This means that it will only bind once the neuron reaches excitability, and the magnesium blockage clears. This leaves more normal operation in place than a full antagonist like ketamine or PCP would.
