Swelling from citicholine (CDP Choline)?

Has anyone experienced swelling in any glands or other areas from Citicholine? I think I may have isolated Citicholine as a causative force but I want to see if it was just intensifying an underlying condition that should be looked into anyway.
I saw one other person kinda-sorta mention this.
For reference, swelling was in a gland I think in my scrotum, doctor gave me antibiotics, which didn't really do much. After that I had not taken CDP Choline for a few weeks and the swelling went away, I started up on CDP Choline again, and hey, instant pain that day!
Stopped CDP Choline, swelling went down, 4 days later, gone. Hasn't come back for a week.
If it quacks like a duck...

Perhaps you should get a different primary physician. Choline is fundamental part of your diet. I could see not knowing CDP choline specifically. However, she should know choline.
Well OK, I doubt she is familiar with CDP Choline used for nootropic purposes. :P
I say that because I've talked to psychiatrists who are unfamiliar with a fairly large # of substances talked about on this subreddit. (Though one can argue that isn't to be too unexpected...)

Ok, I can see that for sure. My doctor would not know CDP choline off the top of his head either. Mostly I just go in and tell him what I want him to prescribe me. I explain why I am asking, and describe the pharmacology of it. He just nods and writes me the script. Haha. He trusts I know more about it than he does.
He helps me with all the other knowledge I am not privy to. It's a symbiotic relationship.
