Best stack for brain damage?

I have a son with some mild brain damage resulting from a brain bleed while in utero. His issues manifest as high functioning autism, but not the savant kind. After many years on medication to help calm his aggression issues, I have cleaned up his diet (gluten free, but working toward paleo) and been able to successfully wean him off all his meds. For once in his life he is happy and well adjusted. However, we are still left with the learning issues. He reads very well, but his fine motor skills are lacking so his handwriting is awful. Math is nearly impossible. His drawing looks the same as it has for at least the past 6 years. He has tested at a very low IQ, but I think that's very inaccurate because his issue is that his attention span sucks horribly. I've tried ADHD meds and they just make him crazy and unstable.
Currently I am giving him a capsule with choline bitartrate and noopept. It does seem to help a good bit. I want to take this further though. We're SO close.
Any advice here?

Not knowing what type of brain damage he has makes it hard to focus on a specific system to improve on. What sort of testing has he been through to pinpoint the damage? If it's arising due to under-formed dendritic spines, then substances that can raise NGF and BDNF might help. If it's arising due to overconnectivity in specific brain regions, then an inhibitory substance might make more sense.
