Microdosing LSD as a nootropic?

I don't know if there have been threads about this in the past, but I couldn't find any so I figure it's worth asking. Has there been much research into using very small doses (<40ug or so) of LSD as a nootropic? Some users report an increase in creativity, mood, and memory. I'd love to hear the pros and cons, if such research has been done, and get peoples' personal experiences.

With that said, if you ever have the opportunity to find somebody who has done DMT one too many times, you'll understand exactly what I mean by perma-frying.
My friends claim DMT does this much faster than LSD, but that's not related to this thread.
LSD can be like spring cleaning for your mind. Dust the corners, sweep, just tidy up the place. DMT is burning your fucking house to the ground so that the new house you build on top of it is clean.
The life altering aspects of DMT are a very real and legit thing, some people play around with it because they think such a short trip has to be mostly eye candy. It can take months to truly assimilate everything from a trip. People that use it weekly or even daily are asking for trouble, in my book. If you never finish rebuilding the house you are going to be screwed next time a storm hits.

Interesting take on things. What do you think could be happening mechanically that leads to this effect? Is it breaking connections between certain neurons? It's is sending signals across connections that have not been used in a while, causing latent memories to come to the conscious thought?
