Microdosing LSD as a nootropic?

I don't know if there have been threads about this in the past, but I couldn't find any so I figure it's worth asking. Has there been much research into using very small doses (<40ug or so) of LSD as a nootropic? Some users report an increase in creativity, mood, and memory. I'd love to hear the pros and cons, if such research has been done, and get peoples' personal experiences.

My thoughts exactly. I just found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychedelics_in_problem-solving_experiment
Fascinating stuff. Seems to truly enhance creativity.

I think there is a major difference in the concepts of high level cognitive processes, and the more simple mechanisms of memory formation. It's the difference between enhancing creativity and enhancing the ability to store knowledge. I could definitely see psychedelics modifying the high level cognitive processes somehow. It's going to be interesting as we get further into the specifics of our brain, as to exactly how all these lower level mechanisms interact to form the higher level systems.
