TMJ after MDMA use?

Original post in this thread

DeltaGunner · 12 points

So I've used MDMA/XTC 5 - 6 times in a little less than a year and lately my jaw sometimes locks up a bit or even almost pops out. I'm not entirely sure if I had the same problems before I started using but I was thinking the jaw clenching could have triggered/worsened my problems.

Last few times I rolled I did take magnesium/zinc/calcium to help with clenching and to alleviate some tourette's symptoms.

Can you get TMJ through drug use?

Not sure what you mean by those types, my supplements say mangnesiumoxide. Hope they are the correct one. The bottles states that is good for a proper working of the muscles.

Ohh no, that type has horrible bioavailability. Oxide is the worst. The bottle is speaking about elemental magnesium once it has been absorbed by your body. Magnesium oxide is ~20% biovailable, which is horrible. I use chelated magnesium glycinate. That has much much better absorption of over 85%.

Good types of magnesium supplements:

* Magnesium Glycinate

* Magnesium Lysinate

* Magnesium L-theonate

* Magnesium Citrate

* Magnesium Malate

* Magnesium Oroate

* Magnesium Taurate

do you think ecstasy users underestimate the dangers of the drug (particularly hyperthermia-related issues)?

If using drugs makes your life objectively better, is that addiction, or just an intelligent decision?

10mg per day is not a large dose. You are exposing your brain to more stress, and most likely causing some damage. However, that damage is probably not significant. You may be taxing your adrenals. That is where adaptoge
