Anecdotal realization: I have a huge collection of music I listen to at work and I'm running out of stuff to keep me interested, and songs in general that I've always loved don't have the same effect on me. At the same time I get more excited than ever when I find a great new song. Anyone else in this boat?

Yeah Im a DJ to and I actually feel this effect kind of helps with my mixing. I get bored with my sets pretty quickly so Im forced to try new new techniques and constantly refresh my set lists with new tracks to keep the novelty. Ive also found myself gravitating more toward producing because of this. you should give it a try.

Ohh yeah, I produced before I started DJing. However, I have found that I get bored with my songs before I finish them. I have a ton of half and quarter complete tracks. It's weird.
