I've completely turned my life around since my troubles. I think not being able to vote is wrong and unfair.

This country was founded on the principle of not trusting people to be smart enough to vote. See: electoral college.

We are a democratic republic, not a federal democracy! How would you suggest we have the voting work in a republic? Popular vote will never, and can never, happen given our structure.

It's current policy in Chicago to not respond to non-violent crimes. There are actually signs in certain parts of the city. Too much violent crime and not enough police to handle it.
