The speculation! People post ridiculous pseudoscience about things, like piracetam/adderall being a dangerous combo (highly unlikely) for example... To keep perspective here, remember that even antioxidants haven't been proven to increase life span, and in some cases decrease life span.

Speculation is the only way we can advance our knowledge. Baseless speculation, however, is not. I love to speculate and come up with postulations for ideas that pop into my brain. However, I always explain why I arrived at that thought, and give links to support my claims. I don't think we should discourage speculation; in fact, we should encourage it. However, we need to have logical discussions about how we came to those conclusions, then give sources that people can verify.
