I have wanted to ask this for sometime now so here it is. Reddit what are some high paying, high demand jobs, that are highly obscure?

Almost no one knows what field I'm going in to it's NDT for anyone who feels like looking it up. It's used for almost everything and extremely important yet almost no one knows about what we do.
P.S If anyone says anything about DWH in most states we can only recommend companies fix or replace parts they don't have to listen to us.
Edit: NDT stands for Non-destructive testing as posted below it is going out and checking for metal defects, corrosion, weld defects on in-service pipelines, aircraft etc. You would also be doing inspection in fab shops it's a huge field with a ton of branches you can go out on. And yes DWH did stand for Deepwater Horizon.

IT related, but anybody that knows how to design and maintain Asterisk VOIP PBX systems is doing really well right now. We have been hiring people starting out at $80K and where I am at that will buy a lot. Companies are getting sick of getting bent over by Cisco and Mytel for licensing costs on something as mundane as telephone pbx systems.
It isn't that hard either.

I am currently on a two week trip in Istanbul teaching Avaya IP Office. I have traveled to every continent, save for Antarctica, and can make upwards of $200K per year. Cisco sucks! IP Office is way better than anything else out there, and I've done them all. Asterisk is pretty good. No need to go full IP on that small of a system though.
