I have to agree with you. The last thing I want after sweating my ass off in the yard is some complex, heavy, expensive (and delicious) craft beer. I want to quench my thirst and maybe get a little buzz. That's where Bud Light comes in.
Although I've grown pretty attached to Yuengling these days. It's about the same price as the "shit" beers, I think it's big enough to call it a macro, but IMHO it's often better than Bud, et al.
Edit: TIL Redditors fucking love Yuengling. I wish I could figure out how to ship you all some.

Since when are all craft beers heavy?!? Every micro brewery has lighter beers. Kolsh style, golden ale, pale ale, amber, etc. Those are all light beers, but are of much better quality than the macro beers. Many breweries even have a light lager they brew as well. This is not about the style of beer, but about the quality of beer. You also have options like Pilsner Urquell, which is delicious on a hot day! $6.29 a six pack here in AZ too!
