I'm not sure that's my definition of fair. My definition of fair is that everyone is treated equally. I think I might call it the most just.

Fair is, and always will be, completely subjective. Equality is objective. People don't want equality, they want their subjective version of fairness. What they fail to realize, and it been made more clear to me by the posts here, is that they could have it if they stopped being so shortsighted! The money leaving is a symptom, not the problem. The rich are taking this money away because they do not see the potential return on that investment. I am not talking solely money, that's not the whole story for anyone. I am talking about the efficient use of their tax dollars in a meaningful way that they agree with. This is how all human societies have to work. When a portion of the population does not agree with the manner in which their work is being valued, and their money being spent, they find alternatives. Humans are very reasonable beings once the arguing stops, and their guards come down. I see so many people on here fuming at the thought of these "heartless assholes stealing our nation's money" that they fail to realize the very humanistic reason for this symptom to arise. Until everyone comes to the discussion table in a reasonable fashion, willing to show real reasons for the taxes and programs that we have, then we will have misunderstandings that never get fixed.
