There are theories that the G spot is just stimulating the clitoris from underneath, ect--no one really seems to know. And several "typical" positions lend themselves to some exterior stimulation.... Plus, women can fake orgasms. -gasp- That's actually not a way of saying you're inadequate--just that women have a lot of performance pressure to actually orgasm (which isn't exactly the fastest thing for most of us and the more we worry about it, the less likely it is to happen).
Anyway, I digress. I think the studies are mostly saying that women don't orgasm from penetration ALONE whereas clitoris alone seems to be a common masturbation choice. But every woman is different. I get orgasms from penetration but they're typically more intense from the clitoris and the best are easily from both simultaneously.
I just think guys have too much pressure put on them to have huge penises when it can be a small (no pun intended) contributor to the overall experience.

Definitely the most powerful ones are when I stimulate the clitoris as the same time as penetration, no doubt about that. My girlfriends don't give a shit about faking for me. I am like the honey badger, I just give off an air of not giving a shit. Not to mention, sometimes I just do not give them an orgasm. They don't pander to any perceived feelings of inadequacy. My current girlfriend was put on Paxil a couple months ago to try and control her vasovagal syncope. While on it there were ZERO orgasms to be had! Nothing I did would possibly work. She mentioned to me that she would get 90% there, but it just would not go farther. She stopped taking the Paxil and a week later we were back to normal. With her I definitely feel a spot where it bumps out toward the back of her vaginal cavity. She is the only woman I have ever felt this very obvious area. When I hit that, she starts to control the movements so I keep hitting that spot. That is when she orgasms through penetration alone.
