I was not, but that seems to refute what we were saying. I was referring to a rat study. However, the one you linked was in humans. So perhaps the SSRE effects are more potent in humans than we thought.

Replying to jimmythegreek1 · if I recall correctly, tianeptine doesn't have much of an effect on serotonin... at least, that is what I gathered by posts from /u/MisterYouAreSoDumb
Tianeptine does lower synaptic serotonin levels, by enhancing its re-uptake. However, what the newer data showed was that was probably not the main mechanism of action for its antidepressant effects.
