What is happening with ND?

It feels like this community is dying. It has now been 180 days since the last products were released - it feels like there is no hype because there are virtually no releases. u/pretty-chill recently said the new bottles are 1-3 months out - if 3 months, and assuming the fiber is released the same day as the new bottles, that would be at least 9 month since the last release.
Are we simply not going to see new releases in the future at the rate we have in the past?

It's the only one I am aware of, but you know one false claim is all it takes to hurt the trust people have in your company.
If all the kava on the market is highly contaminated, how are you making your current kava tablets?

It's not really a false claim, but I agree it can be misinterpreted and confusing. I will change it to "Noble Kava Traditional Water Extract" to be more clear. It is a 7-10:1 water extract. It's not just instantized kava powder.
We can sell our current kava because it is made by IMCD/Network Nutrition. They own the farms in Fiji, and the whole system is fully vertically integrated. The issue with kava in general is that most suppliers do not own or control the farms. 95% of kava suppliers get kava roots that are gathered from a bunch of different farms and all aggregated together in big batches. There is zero control over exactly which farms each specific root is from. Then that raw root is processed on old janky ass rusted machines that result in heavy metal contamination. Seriously, it's really bad for most of the supply chain. It's local suppliers that gather roots from tons of small farms around them, batch them all together, then process them on rudimentary equipment that would make you seriously question consuming it if you saw it. This is all happening on small islands with very little infrastructure in the archipelagos of Fiji and Vanuatu. Almost everyone in the kava industry is just buying from a few middle men that have set up operations where they buy from all these small suppliers. Nobody actually owns or controls any part of the supply chain where they can affect the quality systems. There are not even quality systems at all. It's all a huge mess. The kava from IMCD/Network Nutrition has been the only one where we could have it meet our specs consistently.
Here is a video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=repkyNeaPJk
Here is an example COA from them for a batch.
You can see they are controlling for heavy metals, microbial growth, pesticides, pyrrolizidine alkaloids, aflatoxins, and even polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. We can't even get other kava suppliers to control their fucking lead levels, much less any of the other levels. This is why it has been the only kava product we have ever released. It's not because we have not tried to release others. I wanted a whole line of kava products, with tons of different effect profiles. We just have not been able to find a reliable vendor where we can control the levels to a standard I am comfortable with. It's a shame, because there are some really cool kavas with effects that I really like. I just can't consume it anymore after seeing the lab results I have seen with the shit on the market.
