What makes Erinamax Vegetarian but not Vegan?

I was wondering what makes Erinamax a vegetarian product and not a vegan product? Should note that I've been vegan for over 10 years. I absolutely love using the Lions Mane 1:1 extract and the 8:1 extract and have been using them for a while now. I wanted to compare the benefits of Erinacine-A in Erinamax but noticed that in the Dietary Information section of the product page it's labeled as 100% vegetarian and not 100% vegan like most of the other ND supplements.

What benefits do they both have in your opinion compared to the OG ErinaMAX?

Jury is still out. Erinacine A seems to be the most potent at NGF. However, I have some theories on some other mechanisms with S that seem interesting for mood. We currently have a bunch of cell culture experiments going on in our lab with various human cells. I thought it would take us more time to get comfortable before moving on to human brain cells. However, the PhD researcher I hired is moving along much quicker than I expected, and he said he should be ready for human brain cells in the next month or so! So that means we are about to start creating human neuronal connections in our Incucyte SX5, then exposing them to things like erinacine A, C, S, and whole Erinamax, then monitoring both neuronal growth and neuronal activity. This is cool, because all the research so far has concentrated on growth, which I think A is going to excel in, due to the NGF effects. However, neuronal activity is more relevant to mood and memory.
