Ecklonia Cava Sun Protection Questions

I'm thinking of giving Ecklonia Cava a try for sleep and skin health, but more importantly for the sun UV damage protection. In an interview someone posted of MYASD (Paul) and Dr. Dreher, Paul talked briefly about how Dieckol is like an "off switch" for the sun. He said he was taking 500mg of the Ecklonia Cava when testing it. What I'm wanting to know is, how long does it take before it turns UV damage "off"? Does it work with just 1 dose? If I take it for sleep, will that effect work the next day when I have to go to work and be out in the sun a bit? Is 250mg sufficient, or does it have to be like 350mg, 500mg, etc.? Can it be less (it's a bit costly)? For cost reasons, could I just take it on days I have work, at least once it has built up if it needs to? Thanks!

Do you think taking 2g a day would have a strong effect on GABA-A receptors to cause much of a withdrawal effect if you stopped taking Ecklonia Cava?

I never noticed any withdrawal issues, and I went as high as 40mg of dieckol per day. That's around 5.1g of our current Ecklonia cava.
