Beside the non valid reasons, why nd specifically? For example life extension also sell shoden. And why not ksm which is sold by almost everyone?

Because Consumer Lab bought our Shoden capsules in their most recent round of ashwagandha testing. Why did they choose ours? Well I have my theory, but we probably won't know for sure unless I actually file the lawsuit and get discovery. That might happen. We will know soon. Also, Consumer Lab did test KSM-66 years ago. It was not ours, but I did talk about it back then.

We actually do not make withanolide claims on KSM-66 or Sensoril, because we only make claims that we can independently verify ourselves in the lab. I worked with our lab, and a couple other labs like Alkemist, to see if we could verify the claims being made by the patent holders of KSM-66 and Sensoril. We could not, nor could they, so we do not claim a withanolide percentage on our bottles. This has pissed off the makers of these extracts, and I am pretty sure the CEO of Ixoreal hates me for it. However, I only put our name behind claims that I am 100% sure of. That's why this Shoden thing is so ridiculous. We have done more analytical work on ashwagandha than any other lab out there. We worked with Arjuna for a year validating all the science before I was comfortable enough to release Shoden. Every single one of our products will always have what we claim it to on the label. We go to great lengths to ensure that. Even so, I wanted to have independent ISO results from a lab outside of Omnient, which is why we sent it to Intertek. As you can see above, when you properly test it in the lab, we exceed labels claims. If you use outdated and unfit for purpose methods, then the data is meaningless. Our label claim is based on a comprehensive view of the withanolides in ashwagandha. If you don't actually test what our label claim is based on, you can't make a determination whether or not we met those claims. Consumer Lab isn't an actual lab. They send off to other labs. For whatever reason, they decided to use an old USP method that only looks at 8 withanolides; not even the most up-to-date USP method that looks at 10. Even with the most up-to-date USP method they are not looking at a comprehensive grouping of withanolides in ashwagandha. It's a ridiculous situation that everyone else is in over their heads on. They are not informed enough of the science to be doing what they are doing, and we will make that very clear one way or another.

Always make sure it says "sold by Nootropics Depot" when buying from us on Amazon. We have brand protection on there, which is supposed to prevent hijacking of our listings. However, they seem to have found a way around

ConsumerLab's Ashwagandha report: KSM and Shoden

I have already reached out to our lawyers on this. I am sick of Consumer Lab ranking products using shoddy chemistry! Consumer Lab is using methods to quantify withanolides that only look at a small portion of them in th
