Definitely the wrong place for it but I couldn't find any other subreddit that seemed to discuss Cistanche. I recently purchased Cistanche from a company who are selling 500mg Cistanche Tubulosa 30% Echinacoside, thought it seemed okay after reading studies and posts from the subreddit so I went ahead and bought it. What I now see is its a 20:1 extract equivalent to 10,000mg of the raw plant I assume, could someone explain this? Is it just a bullshit marketing strategy that has scammed me? It also claims to have 75% Phenelythenal Glycoside which makes no fucking sense since that would mean theres over 100% of compounds in the pill, which obviously isn't possible. The whole thing seems ludicrous. It was only £12 so I'm not too bothered, just laughing at myself really. I'd appreciate some clarification as I'm sure someone has probably fallen for this scam in the past.

It's total bullshit that the industry is doing right now. Everyone is just lying. We were the top selling Cistanche on Amazon a year ago. Now our sales have dropped 80% because a bunch of other companies jumped in and started selling what they claim is the same as us. We bought these competitor's products, and tested them in our lab. The top selling one has FIFTY TIME LESS than they claim... 50X less! The second top selling one IS NOT EVEN CISTANCHE!!! It's totally fake! We tried to bring our results up with Amazon, but were told that if we rocked the boat too much, WE would be removed from Amazon... The entire fucking supplement market is a sham! I am almost ashamed that I am even a part of it at this point. It's just a bunch of people looking to make as much money as they can, and nothing is off the table in doing that. Fraud, lies, and deceit are all acceptable to these brands, as long as they make money. I have tried to tell everyone how bad things are for years, but then our competitors just start lies about us, and say I am making shit up to sell more product. Where there is money to be made, pieces of shit will come out of the woodwork to try and capitalize on it using fraud.
