Just wondering if magnesium stearate is anything like other forms of magnesium. I believe magnesium is a very powerful at increasing BDNF and I'm trying to avoid things that increase BDNF activity because it causes me to shed a lot of hair.
Does magnesium stearate also increase BDNF activity?

It's not a filler. It's a flow agent. It helps hygroscopic extracts flow over encapsulation machines, so they don't clump and can maintain accurate fill rates. It's just magnesium and stearic acid bound together. You will be consumer way way more magnesium and stearic acid in foods you eat every day. The amount in a supplement capsule as a flow agent is meaningless. You also need magnesium every day for your overall health. Don't limit magnesium because you are afraid of BDNF.
