ND Longvida powder, what’s the Vitamin C Palmate for?

Just got my order of Longvida, great shipping and service as always. I’m interested in the use of adding Vitamin C Palmate to the ingredients? I enjoy the science side of things and am really just wondering if there’s a specific reason this was done? The other ingredients seem to be normal additions, I’ve not notice Vitamin C as a filler or bulking agent before.
