Somehow I ended up going through the linked article below on Cordyceps.

Frontiers | Trends in the Immunomodulatory Effects of Cordyceps militaris: Total Extracts, Polysaccharides and Cordycepin (frontiersin.org)

Instead, Cordyceps mushroom is treated with hot water to break down the chitin in the cell walls of the mushroom.".

However, the ND extract also has a cordycepin content, which in the conclusion of the article states it is more type 2 immunity.

## Conclusion

*We found that different C. militaris extracts have different immunomodulatory functions. Total extracts using water or 50% ethanol and polysaccharides from C. militaris could be used to treat tumors, allergies, and viral infections because these ingredients tend to drive the immune r…

Our 10:1 is a dual water/ethanol extract. The 1:1 is whole cordyceps fruiting body that is just heated up with water, dehydrated, then milled to a powder. It's not concentrating anything, so it is just a balanced effect of all the compounds in cordyceps.

Cordyceps 10:1 vs 1:1

1:1 is a whole cordyceps fruiting body powder that has been put through a hot water "extraction" to break down the chitin, but not lose any mushroom material. The 10:1 is a traditional solvent extraction, where 10 grams

My cordyceps congealed! Any way to rescue it? I haven’t gotten any water in it, I changed out the desiccant packets, but now it’s become a gooey lump. My Red Reishi purchased in the same order is still a powder, stored in the same conditions. What’s going on?

Holy crap! Water got in there somehow. Where was it stored?
