Ochratoxin also being tested? That's great if manufacturer is testing the raws. Thanks for the update. I think mycotoxins are an underrated danger in supplements/food if it's like what the research shows. Studies on rice show a significant contamination rate, though the ones that exceed the limits seem to be a minority
My initial fear was what stops a manufacturer from using moldy reject rice as an extract material if there is no testing, as long as it meets the specs

Yep, ochratoxin is part of the test. I'll definitely do some more research with my lab director and see if it is something worth doing regularly. He seems to think we could build an in-house method for it pretty easily. We would just need to buy the plate reader. We were wanting to do some other methods that needed a plate reader anyway, so it might be a good way to justify it.
