Out of curiosity (and this is not investment advice, DYOR, etc), what are some of the other projects you think show promise?

Well you have to separate what I think are cool projects/technology from the actual coins/tokens as investments. I think there are some cool crypto projects like Chainlink, Stellar, and even Ripple. How they are trying to practically apply blockchain tech to real world uses is pretty cool. Does that mean I think the underlying coins/tokens are going to "moon?" No, not really. For instance, RippleNet is cool. I think it has a future as a unified global payment system between banks. That doesn't mean I like the XRP token as an investment, and it really isn't a decentralized crypto. I think XLM (Stellar) is a great cryptoCURRENCY. It's near instant, cheap, and has high network capacity. I think Stellar will be here for a long time. Do I think its price will shoot up like crazy? Probably not, but it is a great usable cryptocurrency that can scale. Chainlink is a cool concept for integrating smart contracts with off-blockchain things. Will it ultimately work, and is LINK a good investment? Ehh... probably not, but the project is cool. I think Monero will be around for a while. I think LTC will stick around because of its history and link to BTC, regardless of whether it should or not. For better or worse, DOGE will be around as a memecoin for a bit. I hate it, but the hype will likely sustain it for a bit. Do I really believe in any of them like I do BTC and ETH? No, not really.
