Taking oleamide with fat?

Is it advised to take oleamide with fat such as olive oil? Does that increase absorption?

Yes, I know it's a fat, but that's not my question. Does taking it with a fatty food help absorb it better? It's not uncommon to take fat soluble supplement with fats.

It's not uncommon, but it is wrong. Fat will not help oleamide absorb. Fat will not help most fat soluble things absorb. It's an oversimplification of pharmacokinetics, and an oversimplification of solubility. I've ranted about it for years. Lipid-soluble compounds naturally diffuse through biological membranes easily, as long as their molecular weight is less than 500 Daltons. It's more complex than that, but you can look up Lipinski's rule of five, Ghose Filter, and Veber's Rule. That's just for passive diffusion, too. Then there is active transport that comes into play. The idea that fat-soluble things need to be taken with fat to absorb is one of the biggest myths propagated today, even by doctors. It's taking a very complex topic of pharmacokinetics and simplifying it past the point of usefulness. In fact, taking fat with some fat-soluble things can actually hurt bioavailability.
Let's look at a case where it does help: lutein. Taking lutein with fat can help it absorb better. That's because lutein has a molecular weight of 568.87 Daltons, has a LogP over 7, and has a molar refractivity of 186.76. In lutein's case, taking it with fat will help. Then take aniracetam. That's fat-soluble as well. However, it is only 219.24 Daltons, has a LogP of 1.55, and has a molar refractivity of 62.45, along with pretty good water solubility. This means aniracetam has 100% oral bioavailability on an empty stomach, even though it is fat-soluble. You have to look at a lot more factors than just fat solubility to assess pharmacokinetics.
