Does cistanche increase FSH levels?

Trying to figure out if cistanche is meant to increase Follicle Stimulating Hormone levels, and whether this is safe or not?

First read through this sounds like it reduced these levels. But it means the levels which were initially reduced, were then enhanced (elevated?) by these two?

Yeah, it is worded strangely. They induced infertility with chloroquine, which then the effects of were reversed by apigenin.
