LOL, I would buy everything I could if money was not a factor. The issue with NMRs is that to get one with enough resolution, you are looking at $500,000 and a 2 story machine that needs liquid nitrogen in cryo tanks to run. We have a partner that we work with that has a big NMR, and they give us good prices on runs if we interpret the data ourselves. It makes it hard to justify buying one. The same goes for ICP-MS. We have a local lab down the street that does our ICP work for us super cheap, so it makes it hard for me to justify $250K for one in our lab.
