Honestly replying to me in just a few hours when you're the owner of a company that sells all over the world, it's a great thing. I'm actually amazed.

Are there any other interesting books/papers you've read on drug discovery / medicinal chem?
Have you chatted with any sort of investors/investment bankers about starting a pharma company? Can't it cost hundreds of millions or billions to get drugs to market?

I have not gone as far as trying to seek investors. It will require a lot of money. The average cost to get a drug through trials and approved is over $2 BILLION now. Obviously many pharmaceutical research companies start with less, then sell the rights to a larger company as trials show promise for whatever drug they are developing. However, you need tens to hundreds of millions of dollars, realistically.
As for books, Basic Principles of Drug Discovery and Development by Benjamin Blass would be a good one. Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients
Development, Manufacturing, and Regulation by Stanley Nusim would be another.
