That's because "ScienceTM" (NOT Scientific Method) is stuck in a materialistic & reductivistic paradigm, they do not understand that there are phenomena that can be better understood by Phenomenological inquiry through direct empirical experience. (See Phenomenological Method in Philosophy)

I agree. It's also become way too political and monetized. There is also stigma about not posting null results, so you get researchers constantly repeating experiments that have already proven to not work by others, but the other researchers don't know that because they never published their null results. I feel like publishing for the sake of publishing is ruining science.
