Hi all

Just an FYI- ordered three items

Kava x 1, noopept x 1 and caffeine+l-theanine x 1 a bottle each shipped via DHL on 8th of November this month.

All well and good until it reached customs on the 10th Nov and was held for clearence event notifications every day with customs physical inspection required until yesterday - when finally to my surprise it said it's been cleared and on its way to delivery..

It arrived today (on a Sunday which is a surprise) and when I opened it .. the Kava was missing. And the others were fine. But haven't been contacted and no letter at all. Aah well, atleast they didn't seize the whole package!

Judging from my tracking they must state at US Customs what is in each parcel prior to importing to a destination. Then they choose to look out for the parcels they want to pick on. I doubt they have the resources to open up EVERY import.

u/MisterYouAreSoDumb is there any way we can please have the option to relabel Kava bottles to something “safe” when ordering to Australia?

We can't relabel. Customs agents in multiple countries started freaking out at the generic labeling, and they threatened to put us on a list to stop all packages coming from us. This is why we had to modify our declarations. That being said, we did find this.

The Australian Government will implement a second phase of the pilot program to increase the amount of kava allowed to be imported in Australia.

This measure will allow the commercial importation of kava by December 2021.

So I guess it will be fine in a few days?

We have found that total kavalactone percentage is a poor indicator of kava quality. We tested a lot of kava over the past 2 years. Some of them were 70% kavalactones. There was almost no correlation to total kavalactone
