Legal issues mostly. Sourcing/testing issues as well. However, we think we have talked our bank into allowing it. So we have been doing some research on exactly what we might want in an extract. It's on the list, for sure.

Exactly how we do it with everything we sell: properly administered analytical testing. QC is just as much about testing for the lack of certain things as it is testing for the presence of the ones we want.

That might mean the people doing the extracts just don't know what they are doing, or that might have some merit with the profile of actives. This is what we are going through now.

We have found that total kavalactone percentage is a poor indicator of kava quality. We tested a lot of kava over the past 2 years. Some of them were 70% kavalactones. There was almost no correlation to total kavalactone
