Why has Cognizin's Citicoline raised in price?

Will it also come back down to its normal price? Long ago I stopped ordering Citicoline from ND when they began offering the Cognizin brand since I assumed it was way more expensive for my budget (circa 2017-2018 when they did the change). However, a while ago I felt like giving it a try.
It was way better than the former one I could tell a slight difference, so since then I didn't mind the 8 dollars upmark. Now, however, last time I bought it was around March and I have just now realized they raised the price further by 3 dollars.
I still proceeded to pay the sale price this week, my concern is only on the long run. Will it stay high like this?

I love your elaborate response and insight on what happened with your former Citicoline Sodium.
I had assumed you had simply found a good deal with Cognizin or that your former supplier had gone out of business, yet it surprises me the thing had gone legal real. I have indeed felt the difference with Cognizin (especially on taste) and even then the price of the former generic Citicoline Sodium you used to stock was not largely off from Cognizin's prices.
Gladly you were transparent enough to explain the current situation regarding your Citicoline Sodium supply and hopefully it will indeed get stabilized some time soon, or at least in the near future if it means a couple more months.
Again, I wasn't expecting the full story.

It's my pleasure! I am glad I could give some background info. Some of these legal things can get very draining.
